Walt Johnson Construction helped put together a design utilizing (2) one million bushel plus, free span steel storage bins and all associated material handling equipment necessary to utilize this storage with limited labor costs. WJC handled all aspects of the project from the dirt work and concrete to the final start-up. The communication was excellent, and the construction process went smoothly. The bins were erected in less than 6 weeks’ time despite weather delays. Walt Johnson Construction arrived in early February to install the equipment so we could unload that first unit train as early as possible. They did an awesome job with all of the equipment as we witnessed when we unloaded our unit train. The equipment worked flawlessly and we were able to unload 61 cars in about 10 hours. We were unloading an entire car holding 100 tons in about 6-1/2 minutes. We were very fortunate and lucky to have this project done in time for spring, it saved our customer a lot of money and has made life a whole lot easier for our employees.John S.
