Millwright Foreman

Are you a leader with a can-do attitude? Can you motivate a 2–4 man crew to complete their work in a timely manner while following all safety procedures?

Foreman candidates must be willing to travel Mon.-Fri.. This position is year-round with overtime, paid drive time, competitive wage and benefit package, and a company vehicle for the right person.

Wage is based on experience.

Must be able to follow blueprints, weld, fabricate and have general construction and/or mechanical knowledge. Must be a leader with a can-do attitude that can motivate your crew to complete the work timely while following all Safety procedures. Must be comfortable working at tall heights. Knowledge of material handling equipment is helpful.


Construction Millwright

Walt Johnson Construction is currently seeking self-motivated construction millwrights that can work 45+ hours per week performing duties that include, but not limited to, Welding, Equipment Assembly, Rigging, Construction and Agricultural Millwright Duties, and Forklift/JLG operation. Applicants must be able to carry out day to day tasks as directed by a supervisor, and comply with safety regulations.

Applicants must be able to work at heights and be able to lift up to 75 lbs. If you have a welding background and enjoy an outdoor work environment we'd like to hear from you. Familiarity operating telehandlers & manlifts, along with crane support & rigging is very helpful. A majority of our work involves grain handling equipment in a commercial setting with training available to the right person. This position pays $28-40/HR, overtime & travel time both ways and offers a competitive benefit package (as shown above). This position requires travel with crew at 5 day intervals with a typical workweek of Monday – Friday, with Fridays generally ending early.


Shop/Fabrication/Assembly

Walt Johnson Construction is currently seeking self-motivated people that can work 40+ hours per week performing duties that include fabrication, paint, and tile of components for the grain handling industry. Welding and forklift abilities are a plus and not required for this position but can lead to advancement opportunities. Applicants must be able to carry out day to day tasks in our shop as directed by a supervisor, and comply with safety regulations.

Experience working with grain handling equipment is preferred, but not required. This position pays $18-22/HR with typical workweek of Monday - Friday.
